“I had always struggled with what to do with people, what to say to people.
I’m not uncomfortable with that anymore. I just, sort of, rush in.
Because people rushed in to me.
And, once I did let go of it, it is such a wonderful thing, to just let people love you.
I really think that is one of the great gifts I got out of this.
I learned how to be there for somebody.”
“I try to really be intentional about maintaining relationships.
My friendships are more precious to me now.
You know how you can get so caught up in just getting through your day, your week, your month and your year. I try to be much more present in the moment.
When you’re sitting having coffee with a friend, going, ‘How great is this? Isn’t this, like, the most wonderful thing in the world? Look at us. We are just sitting here, having coffee, talking.
And, I’m here.’ ”
“The blessings from my breast cancer far outweigh anything.
Gosh, can I say that my breast cancer was a wonderful experience?
It was a wonderful experience.
I really think I needed to do that.
I needed it.”

Jennifer, what a great outlook! You’re truly an inspiration to let this be a blessing and it’s awesome that you share it with others. I, too, am a survivor and have found many ways this changed my life for the better. I fought like a girl and won! P.S. your pics look great.
