“This is a lot bigger than me.
I’m going to be able to help people and make a difference.
I’ve had several tragedies in my life, and I’ve realized that those tragedies are really missed opportunities. So, I really want to take this tragedy and turn it into whatever I’m destined to do.”
“There’s a person within everyone just dying to come out. There’s this little girl inside of every woman.
And something happens…divorce, rape, whatever.
The tragedies happen to us.
And instead of getting bigger, and becoming who we’re supposed to be, we shrink….That’s what I think happened to me.
That person, over the last couple of years, has been wanting to come out, and be who I was meant to be.
Cancer has allowed this to happen.
I’m not sure any other thing would have worked.”

You are honoring God in letting your story be told. He is still Lord of the universe and He has you in the palm of His hand. He has not loosened His grip, nor forgotten about you. He is not surprised by any diagnosis, nor is He anxious about outcomes. God is the author of your life, Kelley, and you’re showing the world that you know and trust our Great Physician. Ultimately He is the Lover of our Souls. These are just concepts to me because I’ve never had to live your story. Thank you for sharing your strength and courage Kelley – you are an inspiration to trust God to be all He claims to be! Amazed by God in you, Love, Lori

Kelley,
When I read this site that Deryl shared with me, I thought of only one thing. In this quote Marianne Williamson epitomizes you and your strength:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Keep your light shining!
