“It’s about how you eat an elephant. One bite at a time.
You know, you hear that your whole life, but you never really know what that means until you are facing something really big.
You take one bite at a time.
Small victories.”
“The way you grow, I think, is to do the things you don’t want to do.
To be nice, to be kind, to encourage others, even when you don’t feel like it. So, I got to decide, do I believe in being loving and kind?
Am I that kind of person?
There are 2 ways to define your character: What you do when no one is looking, and what you do when you don’t feel like doing it.
I had to decide, when I heard the diagnosis of cancer, if I die, does it change who I am?
No, it doesn’t.”

So proud of you, Kim! I knew you were a fighter when we walked the 3 Day together 5 years ago. Keep up the good fight!
Dear Kimmie, what an inspiration you are to all of us – when I told you to make lemonade I never dreamed how potent it could be. Our Lord is smiling as He looks down on you!!! Love and blessings, Mom and Papa Don
Kim- Steve and I love your mom and Don so much So glad she sent me your link. You are such a beautiful brave woman! I can see your mom in you. Love the pink boxing gloves- where can I get a pair of thoes? God has plans for you so “hang on” for the ride. Amazing how perfect we can emerge on the other side of crisis. You look as though you are almost ready to fly! BJ Sloan

YOU ARE AWESOME! Much love from the Bowmans!!!!
God Bless You! My sister faced a similar diagnosis and treatment and found the following scripture to be her anchor. “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength” Isaia 30:15. I can see that you found your strength for this journey from the Lord. Good for you. You are a wonderful example for other women who are facing the refiners fire. Thank You for sharing your experience. God will bless you for your ministry through cancer.
Yes, I agree, with everything you said. You have to take one moment at a time with cancer and fight every moment. Praying for you and I know your faith will bring you through!
Hey Hey! Those are awesome pictures!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!! And I love you
Kimberly, I am a friend of your mother’s who had the same kind of cancer in 2004. I am now today, Feb. 17th a 7 year survivor. I am thankful that you are doing so well. I am sorry I haven’t responded sooner than this, last year we lost my Father-In-Law and it has been one more issue with closing out the estate and letting his house go back to foreclosure. But anyway, the pictures are great!! I never though to tell a story like this, however, I didn’t have to do chemo or radiation, so I didn’t loose my hair. I do have some small pink boxing gloves that hang in my bathroom to remind me just how the Lord saved me through all of that. God bless you, and as you go along you will receive more and more strength. Love In Christ, Linda
You have the loveliest eyes I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen a more beautiful woman. This is a significant but short detour in your life and you will be led to the next part, the survivor part, of your life where colors are brighter and sugar is sweeter and the most important thing is how well we know the love of God through the unconditional love we share with our children.
Hi Kim. Jon and I have missed you at small group. That was the only time we got to see you. We have been following you thru reports from your Mom. What a tough time for you and what a tough fighter you are!Hope today is a good day for you. You are loved by many, especially God. He loves you so much and so do we. Joan Jones
