On taking care of your whole self…
“My whole focus was ‘I am going to beat this.’
I know what the odds are….and I just kept telling myself, ‘I am going to beat this.’
I got myself in counseling. I treated the physical part of my body, but I wanted to treat the whole body.
I’m not a group person. There are lots of support groups out there, but that wasn’t my deal at that point in time. I chose individual counseling.
It was very enlightening.
It tells you how to deal with stress, and any issues you may have brought in from the past.
For me, it just came full circle. I thought, ‘I’m taking care of my body, and now I’m going to take care of everything.’ “
“You have to think of the end result.
Think about 6 months from now.
Just fight.”
