Lynn
“When we grew up in the 50s and 60s, I think we expected the doctor was the one in charge, and you just did what he said.
You didn’t question, and you didn’t research.
There wasn’t a lot out there.
So, coming from that standpoint, the first time, I probably handled it a lot like that. Whatever clinic they told me to go to, or whatever, I was ‘okay, okay.’
But the second time, I was like, ‘I’m going to be in control. I got a notebook, I had everything in a notebook to stay organized.
And I thought, ‘I can do this.
I did it before with less education. Now I really know a lot. I know to go in with a list of questions.
I know to take charge, because no one else is; to be responsible for everything.’ ”

It is an honor to know Lynn . She is the kind of person I strive to be like. Adventurous, fun-loving, bur mostly a woman who loves everything about life. She is totally in the game and takes advantage of all that life has to offer . She is the one in charge. I love her.
Great story Lynn, beautiful pictures!
You are so right, we were taught to trust doctors and I still do but the power of knowing how strong I am and how much power my spirit controls my destiny is a mind and life changing. Think of all the students you influenced over the years, take some of those thoughts and turn those inward and believe in yourself is a beautiful thing! Your photos are so beautiful.
